The Process

  1. First you'll be assigned a scientist partner to work with you.
  2. Print out the Venn Diagram for your notes.
  3. Go to Reptiles and Amphibians.
  4. Write on the Venn Diagram how they are the same and how they are different.

  1. Next, go to the Amphibian and Reptile Fact Sheets.
  2. Add to your Venn Diagram. 
  3. Look at the similarities and differences you have noted.
  4. Brainstorm - What would be a good first question to ask when you are looking at animal and trying to determine if it is an amphibian or reptile?
  5. Write it down.

There are 14 photos. As you view the photographs, decide with your partner whether the animal shown is an amphibian or a reptile.
